About
As an American-trained clinical psychologist who has lived and worked in various countries, I understand how difficult building a life in a new country can be. I work a lot with trauma, attachment and boundaries, incorporating a lot of body awareness and processing techniques in doing so. In therapy, I believe it is very important to be grounded in who you are - being aware of your unique background, acknowledging your struggles and recognizing your skill set. In addition, I find inviting compassion and focusing on what "works" for you can help with navigating the intense world we live in. My passion lies in creating spaces where we can each find our own voice and sense of belonging. I believe building groups and community provides important sources of support, connection and belonging in these dynamic times.
I can bill via basic insurance, however, as a result often have a waiting list. I am currently not taking new clients.
I lead our monthly Women's Group. I also regularly provide supervision and training events for professionals.
I have trained in Integrated Body Psychotherapy (at IBP in Switzerland), ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
